Himalayin Yak

https://shutterdiscovery.smugmug.com/Portfolio/i-2V5vLjz/A Once in a while I would come across some yak on my path while going around the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal. Some of them were huge in size but would climb up some of the steepest slopes with such ease.

Phewa Lake

https://shutterdiscovery.smugmug.com/Portfolio/i-4mMsgfc/A The town of Pokhara sits on the banks of Phewa lake in Nepal, the water is incredibly still all the time and makes for some great reflections of the mountains and clouds in the distance. The boats are used for fishing as well as transport as there are some rice fields at the far [...]

Well Rested Colours

https://shutterdiscovery.smugmug.com/Portfolio/i-W4x8XZB/A I stopped for lunch outside this building while trekking around the Annapurna circuit in Nepal. The vivid colours of the flowers and paint with a local dog having a rest on the steps made it look like a painting.

https://shutterdiscovery.smugmug.com/Portfolio/i-z4TqZkw/A There was a really long line of prayer wheels along a street in Kagbeni, Nepal. The small town had a slight European feel to it because of the small cobbles streets and there was even a castle type building in the centre of town.

Suspended over Rapids

Suspended over Rapids   https://shutterdiscovery.smugmug.com/Portfolio/i-xhL7xBG/A One of the many suspension bridges I crossed in Nepal. Its fun to look down between the gaps and see the furiously fast flow of water far below you as the bridge bounces with each step.

Billy the kid

Billy the kid   https://shutterdiscovery.smugmug.com/Portfolio/i-pCLSFVQ/A I was taking some pictures of this waterfall when all of a sudden this little kid comes out of nowhere and stands right in front of me, wondering what I was doing I suppose. Then I looked up at him and he gave a little baby goat bleat and headed [...]

Good Karma in the Himalayas

Good Karma in the Himalayas   https://shutterdiscovery.smugmug.com/Portfolio/i-g3BhsV8/A These structures are all over the place in Nepal once you're up in the mountains. On each side of the wall there are prayer wheels which you are supposed to spin as you go by to give you good karma. You use the wheels to the right of [...]
