https://shutterdiscovery.smugmug.com/Portfolio/i-qcVBdtj/A Whakarewarewa Forest in Rotorua, New Zealand has some huge redwood trees. The way the light caught the tops of the branches is wonderful, leaving the forest floor quite dark. As I looked up it made it look as thought the light was glowing through the spires of redwoods.
https://shutterdiscovery.smugmug.com/Portfolio/i-gK783JB/A Rotorua in New Zealand is known as the sulphur city because there is lots of geothermal activity in the area and the minerals and gases surface from deep under the earths surface. They produce hot steam in the lakes which you can see in the picture, the smell is quite strong though!
